Thomas P. Clemmons, P.E. - President

 

Tom Clemmons has been involved in the civil engineering consulting field since 1983 and joined Waste Water Engineers, Inc. in 1985, later purchasing the company in 2006.  In 2008, the Company started doing business under the name of Clemmons & Associates, LLC.  Tom has been responsible for conceptual planning, final design, and construction coordination of several commercial and residential developments as well as extensive work in the industrial pretreatment/environmental sector. 

 

Land development planning has included coordination with local/state planning and regulatory officials from rezoning to final construction.  Conceptual and preliminary planning assistance provided includes project layout and budget cost estimating for pro forma evaluation.  Final design duties typically include roadway and storm sewer design, domestic water and fire flow design, sanitary sewer facility design, flood studies, site grading, storm water detention/water quality design and Erosion Prevention Sediment Control (EPSC) & Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP), requirements typically associated with land disturbance activities.  Timely approval and permitting thru regulatory agencies is a critical component of the design phase.  Clemmons & Associates typically provides construction coordination with the owner, contractor and regulatory agency even in the design/build sector. 

 

Tom has considerable experience in the conceptual planning and final design of new wastewater treatment facilities (WWTF) and the upgrade of industrial wastewater pre-treatment facilities.  Duties include analytical review of the waste stream and evaluation of the contributing source(s), permitting issues for either surface water or publicly owned treatment works and final design of pre-treatment components.  Additional industrial services performed include development of Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans and Health & Safety Plans (HASP).

Garry J. Takacs - Project Coordinator / Project Manager

 

Garry Takacs joined Clemmons & Associates in 2008; however, he joint ventured with our former company, Waste Water Engineers, from 1970 to 1986.  Garry is a Civil Engineering Technician, General Contractor, Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control and Certified Commercial Building Inspector.  He has 30-plus years in Business Administration and Management in Canada, USA & Europe (Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania).

 

Garry has considerable engineering design, planning and project management experience for water and sewer projects, subdivision developments, and capital works projects in the US as well as Canada.  He has been founder, President and CEO of engineering and development companies involved in residential, commercial and recreational projects.  Garry was the Vice President/General Manager for the general contractor who was awarded the General Trades Contract for the current Nashville International Airport and several associated facilities.  His responsibilities included sales and marketing, client relations and operations, which led to the completion of several million square feet of hi-value tenant finishes.

 

Garry was Founder, President and CEO of Hungarian American Construction and Trade, LLC.  Consulting Engineering and Architectural Design Group and Project Management Services, located in Tata, Hungary as a result of acquireing the Butler Building Distributorship for Hungary and the adjacent countries.  His company provided planning, design, project and construction management services for projects involviing demolition, expansion/additions and design/build of new, mostly international, faciliteis and infrastructures. 

 

Garry held positions as Building Inspesctor and plans reviewer for the City of Mt. Juliet, TN as well as establishing their Storm Water Department.  His most recent experience involved Erosion prevention and SEdimeant Control Project Inspections for the Tennessee Dept. of Transportationon behalf of a local consulting engineering company.

A. Lynn Baer - Office Manager

 

Lynn handles the administrative duties of our business.  She interfaces with contractors, business affiliates and regulatory personnel to understand their needs and sees to it that their concerns are addressed by the appropriate personnel.  Lynn handles all contracts, change orders, insurance needs, business reports, filing, billing and bookkeeping.  Lynn has been with the Company since 1998.
